I really enjoyed the session – I truly did not understand what mindfulness meant (I thought it meant being mindful of other people not of yourself) so I really learnt a lot from the session. Loved the meditation at the end.

I found the session very informative and I enjoyed it far more than I have expected too. Having the information session before actually doing any of the exercises meant that it all made more sense to me. It has made me reflect on myself, my expectations and how I deal with situations where if I took more time to process things the outcome could be very different and more effective. I am definitely interested in attending more sessions and learning more about mindfulness and techniques that might be useful to me. I found Nicola really friendly and engaging and her style of presenting and training made me feel relaxed, not feeling like you were going to be made to answer questions or that we were being ‘converted’, Nicola really acknowledged that mindfulness is not for everyone and that is ok! It was a
very relaxed and informative session.

I found the session informative and relaxing. I intend to start practising mindfulness as I found the techniques used in the session very calming.

I found this session so interesting and engaging. It’s an area/topic I am familiar with but to have this reinforced in a work environment, I feel, is a step in the right direction in terms of bringing the concept of well-being into the workplace.

I enjoyed practicing techniques for mindfulness and found the information we covered to be relevant and informative. It was good to have the opportunity to pause especially close to the start of term. Hopefully I will be able to bring some of the techniques into professional and personal life.

This was an absolutely fantastic session that I learnt so much from. Nicola was brilliant and pitched the session perfectly. What warmed me straight away to the session was how she presented herself as non-judgmental, not suggesting she knew all the answers or that her techniques are the best and will give you the perfect life. Her knowledge of the subject was fantastic and she relayed it in an understandable format. The task with thevInsights cards was very powerful to me. I am definitely going to look into attending another of her sessions to learn more. There was so much from the session that I can transfer to the way I work, as a lot of different mind sets she mentioned were ones I was guilty of holding onto. I am definitely going to try her techniques and read up more about mindfulness. I think it was just what we all needed!

Nicola was really engaging and had a natural delivery style. I was really interested to hear about Nicola’s background and the career path she had taken and why. I did not know what to expect from the session, however I was pleasantly surprised. Mindfulness is something I had heard about, but was not something that I knew much, if anything about. Nicola introduced the concept of mindfulness well, along with useful tips and techniques that could be employed in both a personal and professional setting. I particularly enjoyed the part of the session where we used ‘Insights’ resources to identify what you personally thought you were good at and how others perceived you and putting techniques into practice during the practical exercises at the end.

“The first time i met Nicola was at a talk she was doing about herself and her journey.
She inspired and exited me instantly. From her story i learnt how genuine and full of courage she was. There and then i decided to have hypnotherapy. I new this lady could help me.

At the first session she gathered information about me, and my life and what my wants were from hypnotherapy. She explained how it worked and how i was still in control at all times during the hypnosis.

The second and following sessions i lay down on the couch, there was very soothing, quiet music in the background. Before long after listening to her soothing voice i found myself relaxed and hypnotised. It was like being asleep but still being aware of your surroundings. We had decided at the outset what i wanted to deal with .
I felt no fear. She was constantly affirming affirmations , some had come from me and some from herself. She was taking notes and getting to know me (inside and out} !!!!! Sounds scary but it wasn’t. She is very competent, confident, and knows her stuff !!!

I am a psychotherapist/ counsellor, with child and adolescent counselling skills and reality therapy skills, so i am in awe and aware of many skills she was using. but her knowledge and skills were inexhaustible, she even brought in some reiki at times to heal both physical and mental difficulties.

In psychotherapy the process of changing negative thoughts which can lead to negative feelings and actions, can take a lot of time and effort, in hypnosis however, it can be changed much more quickly as it is being changed from the inside out, not the outside in. I was walking around one day and a thought popped up in my head, you are loving and lovable, where did that come from I thought, this was an affirmation from one of Nicolas sessions !!!!! This was not the last !

To summarise, this journey that nicola accompanied me on was one of , self worth building, and positive life changing.

“I have had a few Hypnotherapy sessions now and could feel the benefit after just one session. I feel so much calmer and positive about my life. I was a little nervous before my first Hypnotherapy session as I wasn’t sure what to expect and how I would feel. However with Nic’s reassurance and support I can honestly say that during the Hypnotherapy I am probably in the most relaxed state I have ever been in. Hypnobirthing Personalised Recording

“I asked Nic to do a Hypnobirthing tape for my daughter to use in her pregnancy and throughout the labour. Using lots of positive language, affirmations and soft music in the background, she used it everyday for six months of the pregnancy to help her relax and support her with a positive mindset. During the labour, we put it on a loop and in the moments when she was having a bit of a tough time, amazingly Nic seem to come out with the right word for that moment. It was incredible!! It most definitely was a huge part of being in control, feeling positive and reaffirming that she could do it. I would recommend this to every pregnant woman to use during the pregnancy and during the labour. Even the midwives praised it. Yoga and Yoga Retreats

“I’ve been practicing yoga (badly) for more than 15 years, I always ‘made’ myself go, and generally felt better for doing it. However, Nicky’s class is a different experience altogether, I can’t wait for ‘the’ evening! It’s a gentle, calm class with a greater emphasis on wellbeing, we are encouraged to challenge ourselves but not to push so hard that it becomes uncomfortable. A guided meditation at the end is the perfect conclusion to a very enjoyable class. Giggling occasionally seems to be generally welcomed, which is very refreshing, we’re never under pressure to take ourselves too seriously.”
